Questions, answered
Is my memoir private?+
Yes. Everything you write is private by default — no public profile and no employer access. You control anything you explicitly share.
Can my employer see it?+
No. WorkMemoir is your personal account and isn't connected to any employer system.
Can I export my data?+
Yes — you can export everything from Settings as Markdown or JSON, any time.
What happens if I cancel?+
You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period, then drop to Free. Your memoir and data stay yours.
Is my data used to train AI?+
No. Your entries aren't used to train OpenAI models — WorkMemoir uses the OpenAI API, which doesn't train on customer inputs by default.
What's included in Free?+
Unlimited memos and chapters, search, voice capture, 5 AI-assisted actions each month, and one complimentary complete career output — free forever.
What is an AI-assisted action?+
One successfully completed AI result — for example, distilling a memo, generating or regenerating a review section, creating an interview story, running a gap analysis, or producing a 1:1 agenda. Writing, editing, searching, viewing, sharing, downloading, and exporting existing content do not use an AI action. Failed or cancelled generations do not count.
What happens when I use my allowance?+
Your memoir remains available. You can keep capturing, editing, searching, organizing, and exporting your career evidence. You'll need to wait for your allowance to reset, or purchase a plan with more AI-assisted actions, before creating another AI result.
Do unused actions roll over?+
No. Free and Pro allowances reset monthly and unused actions do not roll over. Career Event Pass actions expire when the seven-day pass ends.
Are there fair-use limits?+
The published allowance is the normal product limit. WorkMemoir may temporarily restrict unusually automated or abusive activity to protect the service, but this does not affect normal personal use.
